Ruben Sanchez, born August 24, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas to parents Frutoso Sanchez and Leonarda Calvillo, entered into eternal rest November 2, 2021 at the age of 66. Ruben was preceded in death by his father, Frutoso Sanchez; mother, Leonarda Sanchez; brother, Mario Sanchez; and sister Elida Benavides. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sanchez; sons, Ruben Jr. (Michelle Villasenor), Matthew; brother, Rudolfo Sanchez; sisters, Alicia O'dell, Marta Benavides, Herlinda Gonzales, Pearl Hampton; and grandchild, Owen Sanchez. Ruben was married 37 years to his wife Patricia. He worked 16 years for the City of San Antonio as a truck driver and 5 years for Northside ISD as a school bus driver. He enjoyed watching karate movies, scary movies, wrestling and football. He especially enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys on Sundays. Ruben liked to listen to classic rock, and some of his favorites were Van Halen, Rush and Pink Floyd. He spent time with his family barbequing and liked to tell a lot of stories, especially if it was raining. He was a devoted father and never missed any of his children's events. Ruben will be missed by his wife Patricia, two sons, Ruben Jr. and Matthew and family.
