Kevin was a 1991 graduate of Bethune High School. He attended college at Benedict College in Columbia, SC. There, he was a member of the renowned Benedict Gospel Choir. After leaving college Kevin was employed by Cal-Maine Foods in Bethune and for the Marshall's Department Stores.
Kevin got his early spiritual training at the St. Matthew Baptist Church before later joining the Sandy Level Baptist Church. His love for music and religion led him to singing with the Voices of Praise for many years.
Kevin was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Ke'Amber J. Davis, his parents, and two brothers, Sonny Terry Davis and Eugene Blakeney.
Kevin leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Deondre Davis and DeVante Davis both of Camden, SC; a daughter; Kalise Davis of Camden, SC; seven sisters; Louise Harrison of Bethune, SC, Helen (Will) Phillips of McBee, SC, Vera (Ronnie) Harmon of Goldsboro, NC, Thomasina Brown of Bethune, SC, Carolyn (Curtis) Benjamin of Bethune, SC, Gwendolyn Thompson of Plainfield, NJ and Patricia Blakeney of Plainfield, NJ, three brothers; Timothy (Bonita) Davis of South Congaree, SC, Theodore Brown of Patterson, NJ and Donald Blakeney, of Plainfield, NJ; three special friends, Ernest Heyward, Kenny Jett and Cordell Hough, three aunts; two uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
