David was born December 13, 1951 in Haynesville, LA and passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Ruston Regional Specialty Hospital in Ruston, LA.
David spent 25 years working in law enforcement, serving 23 of those years as Haynesville Chief of Police. He enjoyed deer hunting, and was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include; his wife of 39 years, Sandra Walker Mills; one son, Chris Mills; one brother, Jimmy Mills; two sisters, Joann Cooper, and Marie Ware, all of Haynesville; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Motley Mills and Willard Mills, two brothers, Donald Mills and Buddy Mills.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to St. Jude's or a Law Enforcement agency.
