Sister Julie Ann (Gatewood) Robertson was born May 1, 1968, in Lake Charles, LA to Henry and Alnetter Gatewood, Jr.

She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles before moving to Killeen, TX to better herself and her family. Julie was a former employee of the Isle of Capri, Westlake, LA, Martin De Porres, Best Western Suites and Wal-Mart.

Julie married at an early age and to that union two sons were born. She later married Brian Keith "Keedo" Robertson and to that union one daughter was born. However, upon uniting with her husband, she was blessed with two additional daughters.

Sister Robertson was a devoted disciple of Cathedral of Faith Missionary Baptist Church her entire life under the pastorship of the Late Reverend Hernest Arvie and now pastor of Cathedral, Author Cullivan. Julie served as church clerk, Sunday school and Vacation Bible School Teacher, Youth worker, cooking ministry, Music ministry, Mission, Young Women for Christ, and Usher Board. She was very devoted to all her children, church, pastor and family. Her favorite song was "My Living Shall Not Be in Vain"; and her favorite scripture was "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me". Philippians 4:13.

Sister Robertson departed this life on December 12, 2021, at her home in Killeen, TX.

Preceding her in are her biological parents, Alnetter (Felix) Jones and Roosevelt Baker.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Brian Keith "Keedo" Robertson; two sons, Bufus (Anita) Freeman all of Killeen, TX; and Ta'Vares James Freeman of Lake Charles. Three daughters, Morgan Ny'Isha Robertson, Nicosha (Lionel) Bickham and Shonna Goodwill all of Lake Charles, LA; Father, Henry (Martha) Gatewood, Jr. of Parsons, KS; stepmother, Virginia Baker also of Lake Charles, LA. Four brothers, Henry Authur (Gidgette) Gatewood, III of Lake Charles, LA; Howard (Marie-Ann) Sheley of Colorado Springs, CO, Marvin (Diane) Sheley of Centralia, MO and Donald Carr of Lake Charles, LA. Two sisters, Adonus Leatreace (Kenneth) Stewart, Sr. and Pamela McCree both of Lake Charles, LA; two godchildren, Crystal McCree and Hayleigh Gatewood; eleven grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Her Visitation will be, Tuesday 12-21-21 from 8am and Funeral at 11am, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church on Bank Street in Lake Charles.
