He had been employed at St Joe Lead Company for 32 years and Jefferson Memorial Hospital for 15 years. LeRoy was a member of Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge 1721 and Teamster 688; he enjoyed spending time at his hunting cabin, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family which he loved dearly.
Survived by his loving family which includes sons: Richard "Rick" (Hazel) Castens of DeSoto, LeRoy Castens, Jr of Festus, Harry (Lisa) Castens of Festus and Larry (Melanie) Castens of Festus; daughters: Debbie (LeRoy) Wedde of DeSoto and Marilyn (Karl) Fricke of Festus; brother: Raymond (Rose) Castens of Bonne Terre; sister: Sandy Aggers of Mapaville; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife: Mary (Valle) Castens and great granddaughter: Madeline Louise DeClue.
Elks Service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Chapel.
