Annie Lee Smith age 79, of Starke, FL passed away on December 15, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Lawtey, FL on April 9, 1942 to the late Theodore Sinclair Crews and Annie Mae Bell Crews. Annie attended Bradford High School and has been a lifelong resident of Bradford County. On December 12, 1959, Annie married the love of her life Thomas Milton Smith, Sr. and together they had two beautiful children. Annie was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church where she enjoyed reading her Bible and worshipping, Jesus Christ. She spent many years as a cook at Powell's Dairy Freeze and her last career was at Huntley's Jiffy store where she was employed for over 10 years. In her free time Annie enjoyed watching TV, sewing, reading books, and doing word searches. More than anything, Annie loved her family especially her grandkids and always enjoyed spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and grandson, Minor C. Catledge III.
Annie is survived by her children, Thomas (Robin) Smith, Jr. of Melrose, FL and Debie Catledge of Starke, FL; stepdaughter, Willy Bailey of Saint John, WA; 2 brothers, 3 sister, 8 grandkids, and many great grandkids.
A Graveside Celebration will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday December 21, 2021, at Lawtey Cemetery in Lawtey, FL with Pastor Jeff Crawley officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services and Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel, Starke, Fl. 904-964-5757.
