Elizabeth "Pearle" Hundley, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Horton. Burial will be in Wheatland Cemetery south of Horton.

Mrs. Hundley died Saturday, Dec. 7, 1991, at a Horton nursing home.

She was born April 22, 1908, on a farm near Colby, the daughter of Harry and Iva Gay Bathurst Moore.

She attended school in Atchison, and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hundley had lived in the Horton area for 60 years. She was a member of the Horton United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's group.

She was a member of home extension groups for more than 40 years and a 4-H leader for more than 30 years, serving as superintendent of the 4-H clothing department at the Atchison County Fair and the textile department at the Tri-County Fair in Horton.

She received the C.E. Sells Award for service to her community and county and the Friend of 4-H Award in Atchison County.

She married William Clay Hundley April 17, 1927, in Atchison. He died July 23, 1988.

Survivors include five sons, William Clay Hundley Jr., Lawrence, Samuel Hundley, Cheyenne, Wyo., James Hundley, Horton, Gerald Hundley, Garden City, and Lawrence Hundley, Liberty, Mo.; three daughters, Mildred Horlacher, Colby, Shirley Nyhart, Leavenworth, and Juanita Carol Eckert, Effingham; four brothers, Roland Moore, Kansas City, Mo., Leonard Moore, Atchison, Walter Moore, Osgood, Ind., and Robert Moore, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Fern Wynkoop, Atchison, and Betty Peters, Olathe; 31 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
