William E. Combs, 69, of Cherokee Village, died December 20, 2007 in Benton. He was born December 1, 1938 in Kalispell, Montana to the late Cecil and Vesta (Dale) Combs.
Mr. Combs was of the Baptist faith, a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Gloria Ann (Diemer) Combs.
Survivors include two daughters, Rachel Shelnut of Benton, Barbara Ann Sapp; three sons, Edward Russell Combs, David Carlos Combs, Jeffrey Allen Combs; two grandchildren, Samantha Shelnut, James Jonathan Shelnut of Benton; and one sister, Idonna Caudell of Kingman, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 23, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Bro. Marcus Blakley officiating. Interment will follow at Bolin Cemetery in Paron.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 22, 2007 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
