Shirley Marie Baker, age 86 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Saint Thomas MidTown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Shirley was born Friday, October 11, 1935 in Polk County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Auby Franklin Potter and the late Jackie Mae Childs Potter.
Shirley was a member of the Harmony Church of Christ.
Shirley is survived by her:
daughters, Marilyn Bain and Glenda Rice and husband Randy
3 grandchildren, Michael Medley, Dusty Rice and wife Chelsey, Jamie Jaco and husband Craig
5 great grandchildren, Lexi (Jacques) Robles, Gage Medley, Livia and Wyatt Jaco, and River Rice
4 sisters, Liz Armstrong, Reba Simmons, Charlotte Potter and Lisa Potter
brother, Tommy Potter
6 sister-in-laws, Betty Simmons, Geneva Yates and husband Earl, Jennie Sue Simmons and husband J.D., Pearline Baker, Charlotte Baker, and Gail Potter.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her step-mother Evelyn Heard Potter, husband James Edward Baker, son Michael Edward Baker, three brothers Auby, Alvie, and Steve Potter, four sisters Ruth Rogers, Lois Grissom, June Chavez, and Stella Potter.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Spencer Funeral Home with Bob McCoy. Interment will be in Spencer Town Cemetery, Spencer, TN.
