Marvin Wayne Brewer, age 81, of Salem, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at his residence. Born October 7, 1940 in Saltillo, Indiana, he was the son of the late John Brewer and Margaret (Slaughter) Brewer; he was raised by his grandparents, Alfred Berry Slaughter and Celia Slaughter.

Marvin retired from Cummins Engine Company with 31 years of service; was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church; and the New Hope Methodist Mens Group.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret, and his first wife, Doris (Sease) Brewer.

He is survived by his wife, Jane (Van Cleave) Brewer; 3 children: Steven W. Brewer (Christina), LaDonna J. Klein (David), and Michelle L. Campbell; 3 step-children: Bryan W. McGinnis, John L. Colglazier, and Chip Colglazier; 9 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother George Browning officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
