Allene Lee Wiggins was the daughter of William Henry Wiggins (1830-1867) born in Halifax County, North Carolina and died in Matagorda County, Texas and Elizabeth "Betsy" Kearney Burton (1835-1880). She was born in May 1863 in Matagorda County, Texas and died 1 February 1904 in Littleton, Halifax County, North Carolina 6 days after her youngest daughter and namesake was born. She married Leonidas "Leo" Alston 23 October 1882 in Warren County, North Carolina.
