Robert (Bob) E. Gross, Age 91, of Cedar Rapids, IA passed away at UnityPoint St. Luke's Hospital on Thursday, December 16, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on April 18, 1930 in Hutchinson, KS. He was the son of the late Reinhold and Mildred (Rayl) Gross. On June 20, 1954, Bob married Norma Grace Unger in Santana, KS. In his younger years, Bob and Norma loved to go motorcycling, an adventure that took them to some great places. Bob was a veteran in the US Navy . He worked as a mechanical engineer for Rockwell for several years. Bob was a family man, he always put his family's needs ahead of his own, and Bob lived life to the fullest.
Those left to cherish Bob's memory are his wife Norma; his children, Tammy (Russell) Becker of Toddville, IA, Michael (Cathy) Gross of Palo, IA, and Brenda (Steve) Cahill of Palo, IA; his grandchildren, Dustin (Keegan) Gross, AJ (Jessica) Gross, Elizabeth Becker, Emily (Sean) Scheibe, Courtney (Neal) Johnson, Leanne Becker, Cole (Kaylee) Gross, and Tricia Becker; ten great-grandchildren; his sister, Barbara Cook, of Hutchinson, KS; two sisters-in-law, Jean Gross of Larned, KS, and Janis Pierson, of Hutchinson, KS; and many other nieces, nephews, and living relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Robert, Jr., and two brothers, Bill Gross and Jerry Gross.
