Perry Miller James, age 85 of Delton, passed away on December 15, 2021. Perry was born on April 19, 1936, the son of Charles and Esther (Gray) James. Perry had a passion for agriculture and was a crop farmer all of his life, he was also employed at the paper mill in Kalamazoo for forty two years before retiring. Perry enjoyed hunting, trips to Mackinac Island with family, staying close to home and working in his yard, and his Labrador dogs. He will be remembered as a genuinely nice person who was mild mannered, quick witted, and had a great sense of humor. Perry is survived by his sister, Evelyn Jensen; sister in law, Yvonne Bagley; special nieces: Julie Welton, Susan Bagley, Cara Bagley Aurand, and Diana Phillips, special nephews, Terry Dero, David Slocum and William (Bill) Burns, and several great nieces and nephews. Perry was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Fredericka. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, December 17, 2021, 2:00 PM at Prairieville Cemetery, a procession to the cemetery will be leaving the Williams-Gores Funeral Home at 1:30 PM. Memorial contributions to Hunt 2 Heal or St. Jude Children's Hospital will be appreciated.
