He was born on March 16, 1963. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Linda "Dunn" Long; and brothers, Stacey and Ricky Long.

He is survived by his wife, Elena Long of Dalton; son, Jason Long of Dalton; brothers, Timmy Long of Lafayette and Ronnie Long of Dalton.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Michael Long will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Bro. Gary McPherson will be officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens.
