Clayton Lavell Terry
Clayton Lavell Terry, 74, of Salina, died March 3, 2009. He was born Dec. 26, 1934, in Steele, Mo. He worked for the city of Salina as a park
maintenance worker. Clayton was a lifelong member of the VFW, a member of American Legion. He was an active bowler for the Salina Bowling
Association from 1967-2006. He was inducted into the S.B.A. Hall of Fame in 1998. He held various positions in the S.B.A., including director and
secretary. He also was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1957.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Viola (Pulley) Terry; a daughter, Linda Terry; and a brother, Kenneth Terry.
Survivors include his wife, Jolene, of the home; two sons,Michael Terry and wife Carla, of McPherson, and Brian Terry, of Salina;a daughter, Lori Massengale and husband Bryant, of Knob Noster, Mo.; a sister, Patricia Bienowski; two brothers, Donald Terry and William Terry, both of Detroit, MI; 10 grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be March 5, 2009, at the Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina, from 6 to 8 p.m., where the family will receive friends.
The funeral service will be Friday, March 6, 2009, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel at 10:30 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the VFW and American Legion.
