Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Michael Amos, 79, who entered eternal rest, Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Beaumont, TX.
Interment will be Lafayette Memorial Park. Rev. Lambert Lein, S.V.D. will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.
Mr. Amos is survived by his daughter, Becky Amos Millsap of Port Arthur, TX; a brother, Clement Amos, Sr. of Lafayette, LA; two sisters, Sister Mary Regina Amos of New Orleans, LA and Betty Francis of Beaumont, TX; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Amos was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Elvira Amos; parents, John N. Amos and Lucille Colligan; five brothers, Jules Amos, Noles Amos, Roosevelt Amos, John Truman Amos and John Nalcolm Amos, Jr. and one sister, Catherine Simonette.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church.
