Joe married Edith L. Kruger in 1962. He attended St. John's University and earned a master's degree from New York University. In 1972, Joe relocated his family to Worthington, OH, where he lived until his retirement in 2002, when he moved to Estero, FL with Edith.
Joe is survived by his wife, Edith L. (Kruger) Wallace of Estero, FL; daughters, Ellen Wallace of Estero, FL and Jane Wallace of Washington D.C.; son, Michael (Jackie) Wallace; grandchildren, Nicholas, Bradley, and Zoe; sisters, Ellen Denue of Saint James, NY and Patricia Callahan of New Hyde Park, NY; and brother, Lawrence Wallace of Tallahassee, FL
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph M. and Anna M. (Arth) Wallace; and sisters, Joanne Campo and Delores Dean.
A memorial service will be planned at a later time. Joe's ashes will be interred at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church Memorial Gardens on December 26 at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Parkinson's Foundation.
Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, Family Owned Since 1978.
