Ricky Quinton Payne, age 65, and a resident of Norwalk, OH passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 following a brief illness. He was born February 1, 1956 in Norton, VA and lived in Ohio for most of his life.

Ricky worked at Ford Motor Company and retired from Thakar Aluminum Corporation as a UAW member in 1991, following a hunting accident. Afterward, he was an inspiration to many by coaching baseball. He was an active member of PCBA and gave motivational speeches. He was also a member of the Ohio Big Buck Club and United Kennel Club. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, drag racing, watching sports, playing guitar and attending church.

Rick will be missed by his loving children Jared (Leslie), Jordan, and Carissa Payne of Bronson, and their mother Sandra Payne; grandchildren Seth and Payge; siblings, Glenda Freeman of Norwalk, Patsy (Gene) McClellan of Berlin Heights, Cherry Wiley of Huron, Lonnie "Sonny" (Liz) Payne of Kentucky, Katherine (Randy) Carroll of Norwalk and many dearly beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Quinton Payne; mother, Jacqueline (Richardson) Payne, and sister, Jane Hensley.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, 10th of June, 2021 at Trinity Temple. Services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, 11th of June, 2021 at Trinity Temple with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Pastor Ray Richardson will officiate.
