Nina Johnston was born on June 14, 1955 in Tulia to Bufford Garland and Cordie Mae (Kinslow) Johnston. At the age of fourteen Nina's first job was at the Hornet while attending Tulia High School. She also worked for the Champion Café on Highway 87 at the age of fifteen until she was twenty-one. After having her first baby Garland Lee Green she was a housewife until in 1997 she worked at Wayland Baptist as the head cook. She met Johnnie L. White and they both fell in love with each other and have been together for almost thirty years. Nina loved to cook, sew, fish and dance. She will be remembered how loveable she was and her smile that would melt your heart and very outgoing.
She is preceded in death by father; Bufford Garland Johnston, her sister; Debbie Myers.
She is survived by her husband; Johnnie L. White of Tulia, her daughters; Malisa Duncan and James Smith of Tulia and Annie Lowry and husband John of Tulia, her son; Garland Lee Green of Tulia, her mother; Cordie Mae Johnston of Tulia, her brothers; Jimmy Johnston of Platter Flatt, OK., and Charles Johnston of Dennison, her grandchildren; Braden Maverick Fuentes, C'Era Jade Fuentes, Ashley Nicole Lamborn, Cheyenne Nicole Johnston, Cereniti Lee Ann Johnston, Austin Lowry, and Cody Lowry, two great grandchildren; Jayden Lamborn and Kayden Lamborn
