Jim was born October 16, 1938 in Hollywood, CA to James H. and Olga Helgeson Tate and passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 in the Garland Road Nursing Center. He attended and graduated from Fairview High School in 1956. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves from 1955 to 1960. Jim started to work for Southwestern Bell in 1956 and retired in 1990. He married the love of his life and best friend Shirley Jenene Fawcett on August 19, 1958 in Fairview, OK. To this union two children were born Bill and Cindy. He attended Calvary Baptist Church for 58 years and later joined Graceway Baptist Church. He was very active and served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and many other things in the church. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brother Clayton Bryant and sister Sharon Dehne.
