Robert L. Byrd, 91, of Norristown, PA passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
He was born in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania on August 31, 1930, the son of the late James M. and the late Ethel M. (White) Byrd.
Robert has lived in Norristown since 1937, formerly of Bridgeport, Pa.
He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Norristown, Pa.
He worked as an Electronic Engineer with Univac and Decision Data.
Robert was an avid tennis player and he enjoyed all sports.
He was the husband of Late - Georgia May (Kelly-McDaniel) Byrd.
Survivors include, Son Robert L. Byrd, Jr. of Sicklerville, NJ, Daughter Renee L. Byrd - Smith of Norristown, Son Rodell L. (& Denise) Byrd of Richardson, TX, Brother John (& Alice) Byrd of Norristown, Brother James (& Diane) Byrd of Philadelphia, Sister Linda Byrd of Norristown, Sister Sandra (& Willie) Prince of Norristown, Sister Jean (& Oscar) Etheredge of Norristown, Sister Gladys Wilson of Norristown, Sister in law Theresa Byrd of East Norriton, Sister in law Mildred Byrd of Lindenwold, NJ, Robert is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces & Nephews.
Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a son Rory L. Byrd and 4 of his siblings Laura, Nelson, Alfred and Lenora.
His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.
