A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 23 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Marvin Enneking officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. The Mass will be livestreamed and can be found on St. Mary's website.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Florence Anna Feldewerd was born September 2, 1932 in New Munich, Minnesota to Nick and Aurelia (Rademacher) Feldewerd. She was united in marriage to Edward Hinnenkamp on May 10, 1955 in New Munich. The couple farmed near the Melrose area until their retirement in 1992. For the past six years, Florence has lived at Park View in Melrose. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose. Florence enjoyed quilting, baking, playing BINGO, and attending family gatherings.
Survivors include her children, Bernice Garbina of St. Cloud, Jeron (Lavonne) Hinnenkamp of Melrose, Susan (Dave) Voeltz of Sauk Rapids, Ben (Pam) Hinnenkamp of Sauk Centre, Jane (Craig) Olsen of Altoona, Wisconsin, Anne (Ray) Kenney of Woodbury, and Pete (Barb) Hinnenkamp of Melrose; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Alfred Feldewerd, Aloys Feldewerd, Erwin Feldewerd, Juliana Boecker, Wilfred Feldewerd, Melvin Feldewerd, and Paul Feldewerd.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hinnenkamp on August 20, 1995; parents; and great-grandson, Paul Boeckermann.
