ONEIDA- Sandra J. Rogers, 71, of Sylvan Street, passed away on December 11, 2021, in Oneida Health, after a brief illness. Born in Oneida on April 27, 1950, she was the daughter of Herman F. and Rosemond C. Delaney Curtis. A lifelong resident of Oneida, Sandra was educated in Oneida schools. She married Robert C. Rogers in Trumansburg on December 23, 1982. Mr. Rogers died on June 20, 2012. Prior to her retirement in 2014, Sandra was employed with the Oneida Indian Nation at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in the housekeeping department. She was a lover of nature and enjoyed watching birds and squirrels.Surviving are: one daughter, Tammy (Dave) Bouyea of Oneida; one son, Dennis (Wendy) Stevens Jr. of Canastota; ten grandchildren, Colt Stevens, Billy Ducey, Joey Ducey, Kaylee Ducey, Shawn Mattes, Brandon Stevens, Courtney Stevens, Justin Stevens, Dakota Tharp and Jacob Bouyea; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth (Robert) Larry of Danby; one brother, Wayne Curtis of Oneida and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral services will be held 1 pm Thursday, December 16th, 2021, from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend Gina Jennings, officiating. Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 11am-1pm, prior to the funeral service. Due to a change in the statewide mandate, all persons in attendance, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask.
