"Margaret Katherine Bland died Sunday April 26, 1998, in Kingman. She was 83. Mrs. Bland was born July 13, 1914, in Peach Springs and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a clerk in the health care industry for 34 years and retired in 1985. She was a member of the Daughters of Mohave County Pioneers, the Cowbelles and St. Mary's Catholic Church, the latter for her entire life.

Mrs. Bland is survived by: one son, Samuel Nelson of Kingman; three daughters, Jan A. Rucker of Kingman, Cherish Nelson of Kingman and Cynthia Jean Perez of Kingman; four brothers, Billy Nelson of Truxton, Donald Nelson of Kingman, Ernie Nelson of Kingman and Mike Nelson of Fort Benning, Ga.; two sisters Mary Garrehy of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Nelson.

Services will be held at 10 am. Wednesday April 29, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. James Alling officiating.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations to Kingman Elks Lodge No. 468, 900 Gates Ave., Kingman, Ariz. 86401; or Mohave Museum of History and Arts, 400 W. Beal St., Kingman, Ariz. 86401".
