Mrs. Sturgis retired from the Unitog Company, Kansas City, MO, where she worked as an accounts receivable clerk. She was a member of the Crossroads Bible Church and a volunteer at The Paris Foundation, both in Elkton. Mrs. Sturgis cherished spending time with her family and enjoyed baking goodies and working on puzzle books.
Survivors include her children, Kirsten Fitzgerald, Elkton, MD, and Dennis Sturgis (Barbie), Sylva, NC; 5 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren, plus one on the way.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sturgis was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert L. Sturgis; and siblings, Alice Beach, Odessa, MO, Roberta Stokes, Clarksville, AR, and Grace Blackmon, Heber Springs, AR.
Memorial service and interment will be held at a later date.
