Elias was born on July 5, 1941 to Eduardo and Manuelita Archibeque.
Elias was a lifelong resident of Algodones, New Mexico.
Elias leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Julia and their five children, Eddy Archibeque and his wife, Denise, Aaron Archibeque and his wife, Dianna, Dede Sánchez and her husband, Greg, Janelle Martínez and her husband, Joseph and Augustine Archibeque and his wife, Carmen. Elias was lovingly known as Pampo by his grandchildren, Gregory Sánchez, Ashley Sánchez, Adam Martínez, Maija Archibeque, Jaclyn Archibeque, Angelique Sánchez, Mariah Archibeque, Rosie Martínez, Faith Archibeque and Joshua Archibeque and great-grandchildren, Destiny, Elias, Dustin, Lawrence, Lia and Audrina.
Elias was preceded in death by his son, Baby Elias, his father, Eduardo and mother, Manuelita.
Elias is survived by his siblings, Clyde Archibeque, Eufelia Sandoval, John Archibeque Sr. Pauline Montoya and Priscilla Pérez.
Elias retired after 39 years with the City of Albuquerque as the Superintendent of the Albuquerque Convention Center. Elias loved playing golf with the City Hackers golf league, fishing, hunting and gardening with his devoted wife and spending time with his family. Elias had a true love for nature and all animals, he enjoyed feeding the wild crane that returned yearly to his field in Algodones, NM.
Elias cherished the time spent with is little dog, Jewels who stayed by his side until the very end.
Elias will be greatly missed by family and friends and never forgotten! May you rest in peace Pampo.
A rosary will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, New Mexico on January 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a mass at 10:30 a.m. Graveside services immediately following mass at Algodones Cemetery, Algodones, NM. Pallbearers will be Greg Sánchez Sr., Greg Sánchez Jr., Joseph Martínez, Adam Martínez, Angelique Sánchez and Devin VanHoose.
