CHRISTINE MARIE HUNTER, 93 of Lapeer, passed away on December 9, 2021. She was born in Detroit, MI on February 22, 1928, to Frances Powers. She was a graduate of Otter Lake High School. Christine enjoyed working with residents and co-workers at the Lapeer State Home and Training School (later called Oakdale Center) for 36 years and retired in 1984. She was very involved with her beloved church, Lapeer Seventh-day Adventist Church; and she loved the Lord with all her heart. Her life was filled with family and friends and she loved to read and play games.
Christine is survived by two daughters, Gail Robison of Lapeer and Patricia Robison of Otter Lake. She leaves behind four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 14 at 1 p.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors – Capstick Chapel. Pastor Victor Vaughn officiated. Friends visited on Tuesday prior to the service from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Christine was laid to rest in Smith-Hill Cemetery in Otisville.
