Brenda Renee Petty, of Willis, Texas, passed away December 15, 2021 at her home following a battle with mesothelioma cancer at the age of 69. She was born February 20, 1953 in Pasadena, Texas to parents, Sonny Beken and Naomia (Black) Walters. She leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, Curtis Petty; her children Kristi & Jay Adams and Mandy & Robby Chance; grand children, Haven Chance and Emalee Chance, Matt & Jenabre Adams, Shelly & John Voss, Logan Adams, Marla Morse; great-grandchildren, Aiden Morse, Mattie Collins, Jordan Acreman, Hudson Adams, Cullen Adams, Leyton Adams, Mace Voss, Noah Voss, Ariah Jade Adams; honorary granddaughters, Sarah Shelton & Rachel & Eric Purgason; Siblings, Donna & Carlton Gardner, Rhonda Lilly, Randy & Susan Beken, Regina & Rick Shelton, Joan Stanley, Beverly Lillard, Shirley McIlvain, George Will, Mickey & Glenda Walters, Linda & Fred Thomas, Annette & Darrell Jones, Carroll & Doug Hebert, Bill & Nina Petty; many beloved nieces and nephews as well as loving friends and church family. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents Sonny & Elsie Beken and Naomia and Bill Walters, William & Barbara Petty, siblings Robert Will & Calvin Will; grandson Renner Adams. Born and raised in Pasadena, Texas, and later relocated to the Aldine area where she attended Aldine High School. During her high school years, Brenda met the love of her life Curtis Petty and married in August of 1970. She then joined Curtis while stationed in Germany with the US Army where their daughter Kristi was born in 1972. Once honorably discharged they returned to the Aldine area where they went on to have their second daughter Mandy in 1975. A short time later they relocated to Montgomery, Texas to raise their family. While in Montgomery Brenda was an active member of her church and the many activities in which her girls participated. In 1992, Curtis and Brenda moved to Willis, Texas where they lived until the time of her passing.
