Born in Monroe, N.C., she was the daughter of the late James E. and Verla Funderburk Pierce.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William Thomas Jackson, Jr.; son, William Derek Jackson; brother, Daniel Pierce (Norris); sister, Frances Thomas; and two grandchildren, James and Natalie Jackson.
In addition to her parents, Wanda is predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.
Wanda was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and Christian. She was always willing to help someone in need no matter the situation. Her compassion for others was limitless. She told many that she loved them and showed many more that she cared and loved them with her actions. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with family. Wanda's love for the Lord was also very apparent to those she met. Even though she will be missed by those that know and loved her, we should all find comfort in knowing that her faith in Jesus has ensured that her name is forever written in the Book of Life.
Funeral services will be held on at 2 o'clock PM Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Crooked Run Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Fairfield Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the committal by the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Wanda's memory to Crooked Run Baptist Church, 7978 State Highway 269, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
Pope Funeral Home of Winnsboro, SC, is assisting the Jackson family.
