Born on December 4, 1928, she was the daughter of James Slagle Gray and Bess Elizabeth Cabe Gray who predeceased her.
Her husband, John Frederick (Fred) Cunningham, predeceased Betty Sue in 2007. Family who also predeceased her are older brother, George Gray, a casualty of World War II; older sister, Catherine Berkman; and daughter-in-law, Christine Cunningham.
Survivors include two sons, George Cunningham and Milton Cunningham and his wife, Ann Cunningham; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Cunningham and Gray Cunningham; younger brother, Eugene Gray and his wife, Shirley Gray; and other family members.
Interment was in Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church Cemetery in Franklin. In accord with Betty Sue's wishes, there will be no service.
