Joseph "Joey" B. Harper, 57 of Star City, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at U.A.M.S. in Little Rock.

He was born March 14, 1964 in Greenville, MS, where he was delivered by his grandmother at The King's Daughters Hospital.

He was a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church and was a mechanic for the Lincoln County Road Shop.

Preceding him in death were his father, David Lee Harper, Sr.; brother, David Lee Harper, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Joseph Byrd Harper, Sr. and Margie Harper; and maternal grandparents, Joseph David Eubanks and Iva Eubanks.

Survivors include his mother, Virginia Ann Eubanks Harper of Star City; daughter, Alicia (Stacy) Bolen; 2 sons, Jonathon (Amber) Gibson and Steven (Joni) Kesterson, all of Star City; and 7 grandchildren, Gage Bolen, Brandon Williams, Kadence Gibson, Zander Gibson, Karlie Kesterson, Kayne Kesterson, and Addison Bolen.

Funeral services are 11:00AM Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Cody Andrews officiating.
Visitation is 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the funeral home.

Burial at Rowell Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Phillip Atkins, Mario Palmerin, Bob Henry, Thomas Turner, Mark Garrison, Jeff Ratterree, Randall Dutton, Jimmy Harris, Don Owen, P.R. Harrison, and Charlie Carmichael. Honorary pallbearers are the County Judge and co-workers.
