Nancy was born November 8, 1956, to Richard and Hazel Carter in Borger, Texas and passed from this life December 13, 2021, in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Borger, graduating from Borger High School with the class of 1975. She then attended Frank Phillips Junior College majoring in Art. She then attended West Texas University majoring in Music Education. She moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 1980 and achieved her Board Certified Licensed Practical Nurse's certification from Autry VoTech in 1982. She worked at Bass Hospital until 1984. In 1985 she achieved her Bachelor of Political Science from Phillips University and attended Oklahoma City University School of Law. In 1986 she was adopted by Esther Patzkowski and gained two sisters. She returned to Enid in 1988 and began working as an LPN at the Methodist Home. She later worked at H & R Block preparing Taxes and was a substitute teacher at Enid High School for many years. She enjoyed writing poetry, painting and was a talented pianist. She had a kind and gentle spirit.
She is survived by her sisters Caroline Patzkowski, of Enid and Pam Poindexter, of Ponca City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Hazel Carter and Esther Patzkowski.
