Scott J. Wilson, age 62 of Harris died at the age of 62 after complications from emphysema on Monday, December 13, 2021 at M Health Fairview Hospital in Wyoming.

Scott was born at Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis to Robert "Bud" and Kay (Putrah) Wilson. He was the oldest child followed by siblings Sandi and Jim, and they lived in the Mound and Excelsior area. His childhood years were spent playing little league baseball, with Scott as the pitcher, and learning life skills in Cub Scouts.

In 1971, Scott moved to Sunrise and went to North Branch Schools. Here he gained a step-mother Barb and siblings Bobbie, Nick, and Jesse. His youth years were filled with everything outdoors: raising horses and training dogs, running trap lines, deer hunting, and fishing. In his young-adult years he filled his need for speed by racing dirt track cars in his prized Oldsmobile Cutlass.

Scott's first marriage brought him a daughter, Cami. From his second marriage he added daughters Miranda and Karissa and his much-awaited son Jamie. In 2002, he married Diane Vierling and they lived their years together in Harris. In his adult years he enjoyed deer hunting and ice fishing. Together with Diane, they explored Northern Minnesota and the Iron Range, including their getaway cabin in Baudette.

Scott was well-known in the concrete industry for his strong work ethic. He found his life-long career when he joined the Cement Masons Union. Due to his health, he was forced to take early retirement in 2019. He spent his final years at home, with his wife Diane and sidekick Max.

Scott is survived by his wife Diane and black lab Max; daughters, Cami (Joey) Babolik of Pine City; Miranda (Justin) House of Eau Claire, WI and Karissa Wilson of North Brach; son: Jamie (Allyson Andert) Wilson of Harris; grandchildren, Macie, Milo, Melia Babolik, Austin & Laynee House, Jasper & Ezra Charbonneau and Hallie & Ella Wilson; his mother, Kay (Mac) McCollum; step mother, Barb Wilson; siblings, Sandi (Kevin) Kraabel, Jim (Skip Hackney) Wilson, Bobbie Hageman, Nick (Nicole Pickles) Wilson and Jesse Wilson. Scott is preceded in death by his father Robert "Bud" Wilson; sister, Andrea Wilson, step-father David Beckman and grandparents; Bob & Bernice Wilson and Gage "Soup" & Mary Putrah.
