Connie Sue will always be remembered for her love of others, her humor, her loyalty, and her kind heart.

Ms. Connie Sue Wallace McKinney, 76, of Talladega, Alabama was born June 23, 1945 to the late Annie Lee Shealey Tanner and William Arthur Wallace.

At an early age, Connie Sue accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Peace Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, Connie continued serving the Lord and working in his vineyard when she joined fellowship with Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ where she was the Mother of the church and was well known for her lively spirit and musical talent in beating those drums. She received her formal education in the Talladega City School System and was a graduate of Westside High School. Connie Sue furthered her education by enrolling at New World College in Anniston, Alabama and obtaining her degree in Cosmetology in 1992.

Along Connie Sue's life journey, she met and married the love of her life, Mr. Leroy McKinney in 1970 while residing in New York. Together they raised six loving children. Connie Sue enjoyed spending time on the banks fishing and loved cooking and taking care of her grandchildren and being a mother to all her extended family, children and Godchildren.

Connie Sue completed her 76-year life journey on December 2, 2021 while under the care of Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama. Once gaining her heavenly wings, she was reunited with her parents, Annie Lee Tanner and William Arthur Wallace, son, Patrick McKinney daughter, Regina Wallace, brothers, Anthony Jerome Bibb, Early Tanner, Jr. and Clifford "Pimp" Williams, sisters, Georgia Wallace Miller and Annie "Gwen" Wallace.

Connie Sue will remain in loving memories by her loving and caring daughters, Wendolyn (Rickey Wallace Robinson, Mary "Nett" Wallace and Carolyn (Chris) McKinney Garrett; son, Kenneth (Carrie) Wallace; three brothers, Willie Tanner, Charles Oden and Edward Ragland; four sisters, Shealey Sawyer, Alberta Tanner, Audrey Garner and Sheryl (Ben) Tanner; seventeen bonus children, Latanga Denise Miller, Rebecca M. (Julius) Ragland, Edna McKinney, Sherry McKinney, Dorothy Curry, Teresa McKinney, Gladys Marrisett, Donna Bryant, Wayne (Jessie Mae) Howell, Leroy (Ananda) McKinney, Jr., Norman (Lee-Lee) McKinney, Leon McGhee, Frank (Carrie) Pointer, James (Soneaqua) Pointer, Montrice Pointer, Samuel McKinney and Henry Lee (Marilyn) Willis; two God daughters, Eunice Faye Powell and Frieda Caldwell; special friend, Leonard "Funny Face" Easterwood, and a host grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
