William "Mac" McDermott passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021, at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice. Born on November 5, 1946, raised in Toledo, Ohio and graduated from Macomber High School. He met the love of his life at Rustic Lodge in 1985 and later was married on July 4, 2003. Mac was a huge hockey fan, playing the game in his younger years. He was well known at the Toledo Ice House where he followed many friends kids playing hockey. He also loved watching his grandson, Chris, play hockey. Mac was also a fan of stock car racing and attended many races at Michigan International Speedway and Bristol. He loved chocolate of any kind, his wife's chili and stuffed peppers.
He is survived by his wife, Helen McDermott; children Candace (Jeff) Tubbs, Tami (Darin) Snell, Regina Culp, Rhonda Williams; grandchildren Jessica, Kennedy, Shayna, Miranda, Jerrica, David, Andrew, Christopher; great grandchild Peyton; cousins and close friends John (Lori) Kolb, and Dick (Linda) Judson, and many other friends.
