Jack E. Moss, 78, of Pana passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 in his home. He was born May 5, 1943 in Ramsey to Lewis Wayne & Dorene (Durbin) Moss.
As a young boy, Jack was confirmed at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pana. Most recently, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur. Jack served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as a carpenter but was a "Jack" of all trades and master of many. He was very proud to be a volunteer for the Quad County Hospice Veteran Pinning Program.
Jack is survived by his mother, Dorene Moss, Pana, IL; children: Zechariah (Kimberly) Moss, Lincoln, IL; Judith (Daniel) Soto, Lincoln, IL; Jack Eugene Moss, Jr., Florida; grandchildren: Anthony, Kellsey, Piper, Caitlin, Anthony, John, Sylvia, Faith, Issac & Tori; 1 great grandchild and sister, Beverly Parish, Pana, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Moss and sister, Deborah Moss Holt.
Per Jack's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and the family will host a celebration of life service at a later date.
Memorials in Jack's honor may be made to Pana Community Hospital Foundation for Quad County Hospice Veterans Pinning Program and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
