Matthew Scott Lawson, 43, of Dagsboro, DE and formerly of Westover, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at his home.
Born in Crisfield, MD on November 20, 1978, he was the son of Weldon H. Lawson, Jr. of Westover and Paula Marie Coulbourne Lawson of Upper Fairmount. Matt was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1996.He worked at the Wicomico County Detention for many years then moved to Delaware and worked for B & G Fire Protection Company in Dagsboro.
He loved collecting guns and enjoyed target shooting at the firing range.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Weldon H. Lawson, Jr. and Linda Lawson of Westover; his mother and step-father, Paula Coulbourne Lawson and Ray Lee Lattimore of Upper Fairmount; a special aunt, Jackie C. Lawson; step-brothers, Scott and Michael Morton; uncles, Joseph and Mark Coulbourne; cousins, Terri Coulbourne, Tammi Reynolds, and Traci Tyler; friends, Kris Cullen, Robert Johnson, Bert Larsen, Tom Taylor, Bobbi Jo Byrd, and Dawn King Martinez; and several other cousins, nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Funeral services officiated by Rev. Bob Daniels will be Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne.
