December 13, 2021 Dwayne E. Cox, 91, of Liverpool passed away on Monday at his daughter's home, after a long illness. Family meant the world to him and he was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Dwayne retired from Plunkett-Webster Wholesale Lumber Company after many years of faithful service. His joy and passion in life was his dedication to the Liverpool-Syracuse Lodge # 501 F&AM, where he became District Deputy. Dwayne enjoyed hunting, camping and woodworking. He is predeceased by his wife, Barbara Jeanne Cox in 2019. Surviving to cherish his memory is his daughter, Vicki L. Roehm of Liverpool, three grandchildren, Kevin (Kristie) Rowe and Marc Rowe both of Liverpool, Brianna (Stu) Sherlock of Cicero, four great-grandchildren; Alex, Liam, Haven and Grayson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with a Masonic Service to follow at 6:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second St. Liverpool, NY 13088. Private burial will take place in Liverpool Village Cemetery at a future date. Contributions in Dwayne's memory can be made to the Masonic Medical Research Institute, 2150 Bleecker St. Utica, NY 13501.
