Albert Hagemeier was born in Germany on Jan. 18, 1853 and at the age of nine immigrated with his parents to America and settled in Illinois.
Later he moved to Butler county, Iowa, where he was united in marriage to Maggie Vanningen in 1878.
Mrs. Hagemeier was born at Freeport, Illinois, on October 17, 1860. When a young girl her parents removed to Butler county, IA.
Ten children were born to this union. They came to Dakota, Lincoln County in 1881 and located on a farm near Lennox.
Mr. Hagemeier passed away on October 2, 1920.
Mrs. Hagemeier died on March 12, 1935.
Children living are Louis, Carl, Charlie, Jennie, Lena Johnson, Mrs. Bertha Sather and Mrs. Maggie Larson.
