Mr. Harper was born November 24, 1949, in Columbus, GA son of Mary Parsons Harper and the late Lewis Jefferson Harper, Sr.
He had worked for Columbus Carpet Mills for many years. Steve loved the Lord and was very active in his home church, Golden Acres Baptist, where he was a deacon and served in the Nursing Home Ministry for over 26 years. His love of God was followed by his love of family and Alabama Football. We will miss him deeply, but he has left us with an abundance of fond memories to cherish him in our hearts.
Survivors other than his mother, Mary Harper include his three siblings, Lewis Jefferson Harper, Jr. and Judy, James Harper and Gina and Vickie Wynn and Lamar.
