Frances A. Wilson, age 100, of Protivin, IA, passed away at her home on December 13, 2021.
Frances Arlene Koudelka was born on January 23, 1921, near Lawler, IA, to John and Frances (Jirak) Koudelka. She was the youngest of three siblings.
After graduating from Upper Iowa, in Fayette, she was united in marriage to Elmer G. Wilson on January 23, 1968, at St. Ludmila's Church in Cedar Rapids, IA. Shortly after their marriage, Elmer passed away.
For many years, she taught school at a local country school. Frances was remarkably smart and was known for being fun to talk with.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles and solved many in her free time.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wilson; parents John and Frances Koudelka; siblings Will Koudelka and Lucy Pecinovsky.
A visitation for Frances will be held at the Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco, IA, on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Following the visitation will be a funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama, IA, at 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
