Evelyn Sanders Moser passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 11, 2021, after an illness. She lived a beautiful and remarkable life for 89 years.

Evelyn was born on October 1, 1932 in Memphis, TN to Jesse and Gertrude Martin Sanders. Her family moved to LaGrange, TN shortly after her birth and she moved to the Bartlett/Ellendale area when she was a teen. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1952 where she met her high school sweetheart, James "Jimmy" Moser. They married on July 18, 1952 and had 69 wonderful years together.

Evelyn's life was filled with joy and she always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile. She was an active member at Bartlett Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher and went on church mission trips to Brazil, Honduras, China, and Vietnam. Her adventurous life included being a Welcome Wagon hostess, real estate agent, cheerleader coach, and even worked a booth at the Mid South Fair. Her hobbies and passions were painting which included roses, landscapes, and grandchildren; growing and showing beautiful roses with Jimmy while in the Dixie Rose Society; creating the Granny style "slip-n-slide"; and deer hunting where she out harvested Jimmy several times on the deer count for the year. Not only did Evelyn and Jimmy have a large rose garden, they always had a wonderful vegetable garden. They shared many vegetables with family and friends throughout the years. At one time, Evelyn had a vegetable stand in the front yard and when times were slow, she would leave an honesty box at the stand with the vegetables.

Her life's story has been a sweet harmony of genuine love, service, and friendship. She will always be remembered as an amazing and wise wife, mother, and Granny to her family. She loved and shared about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was the best prayer warrior of her time.

Evelyn was one of ten children and is preceded in death by three brothers, Douglass Sanders, Lawrence Sanders, Charles Sanders, four sisters, Virginia "Sister" Sims (Leon), Florence Haynes (Huey), Louise Cunningham (Eddie), Marie Sanders, and one granddaughter, Mandy Moser Stewart.

She is survived by her husband, James "Jimmy" Moser, three children, J. Michael Moser (Debbie), Richard Moser (Vickie), and Rebecca Moser Tapp (Richard), two sisters, Martha Sanders Peterson, Jessie Stovall (James), and sister-in-law, JoAnn Sanders. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Jim Moser (Amy), Allison Touchstone, Jodi Balkum, Candice Moser Logan, Brandi Moser Richards (Will), Katy Moser Betts (Hunter), Brent Biggs (Jessica), Heather Biggs French (Travis), Allan Tapp (Suzanne), Mary Tapp James (Ty), Chad Tapp (Sara), and 24 great-grandchildren.

The family will celebrate her life at Bartlett Baptist Church on Kirby Whitten Parkway on December 17, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and the service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial Service will follow at Forest Hill East Cemetery on Whitten Road.
