Mary Jane (Seybold) Meyer, 94 years, of Lambertville, MI went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2021 at Hickory Ridge Nursing Home of Temperance, MI. Mary is the daughter of Howard Seybold and Margaret DaLee (Robinson) Seybold. She was born on August 16, 1927 in Mansfield, OH.
Mary had numerous talents and began playing the piano by ear at a young age. She also tap danced and sang. In her teen years, she was teamed up with Teresa Brewer (a future recording star) on the radio singing and dancing on Saturday morning weekly shows from the Valentine Theatre.
A fun experience in her life was being selected to participate in the NBC game show, To Tell The Truth, and being the winning contestant. Mary loved the beautiful fall seasons, Michigan Football, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra music, but her love and dedication to her family was her true joy!
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 74 ½ years, Richard Dean Meyer. It was love at first sight when he first saw Mary selling theater tickets for 10 cents a show from the Park Theater Booth in Toledo. He finally found the courage to ask her out, after realizing his sister and Mary were best friends.
She is also survived by her children, Deborah Janos (Gary) Dotson, Kimberly Meyer and Rachelle (Steve) Berkery; Grandchildren, Jennifer deGroff, Lisa Janos (Tony) Brescol, Colton Berkery, Megan (Gannon) Peters and Lucille (Aaron) Dianda; Great-grandchildren, Emma deGroff, Daphne Janos Brescol, Kennedy Peters and soon to be great-grandson, Wylden Dean Peters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at noon at the Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. A private burial service will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Blissfield, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or any donations of books to libraries in remembrance of her love for reading.
