Nada was the most amazing Aunt anyone could have had. As you can see she married often and she actually told us she had been married 8 times but I am only able to sleuth out 5 plus 1 which is marrying Kitch twice. From all that was ever told
Nat "Kitch" was the love of her life.

She lived most of her life in San Francisco..she smoked, she drank, she played cards, she loved her brother Dick fiercely and her sister Irma she mothered most of her life. She never had children but was a step-mother to children of Orrin Gernreich and Jim Sullivan.

She was a wonderful daughter to her mother Dessa and wrote her every week, called often, sent her gifts always and brought her to California to visit. Dessa adored her and she adored her Mother. She loved her brothers with great devotion and was always the life of any family get together.

She is loved, missed, and was greatly admired by the entire family. And of course we marvel at the life she led. She was the most loyal and fierce protector of her family

In 1932 she was involved in a horrific auto accident. Her husband Herman and another young man died in the accident. Nada was thrown thru the front window and was not expected to live. So much damage was done to her body and in an effort to save her life little was done to her face. It was embedded with glass and most of it was not removed. As the weeks went by she began to heal and by that time it was to late to dig into her face to try and remove the glass. She lost her eyebrows, eyelashes, and severe damage to her lips. For the rest of her life she carefully and I do mean carefully applied makeup every morning before anyone was allowed to see her. It always took about 2 hours and when she was done she looked like a show girl. She was beautiful and every crease, line, scar was covered. At 70 she was still stunning.

She was a waitress most of adult life and worked in some of the most prestigious restaurants in San Francisco and always knew some famous people and had some great gossip to share with family.
