Ronald "Gator" F. Baker, 67, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Meadville Medical Center.

Gator was born in Oil City, on November 6, 1954, a son of the late Bruce Allen and Corrine (Shade) Baker.

On January 6, 1978 Gator married Margaret "Peggy" Powell; she survives.

A 1972 graduate of Townville High School, Gator entered the US Marine Corps on May 17, 1973 and served his country honorably until his discharge on January 14, 1976. He was a member of Saegertown American Legion Post #205. Outdoors he enjoyed hunting while indoors he enjoyed shooting pool. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren who meant the world to him. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Peggy, of 43 years, Gator is survived by a daughter Tracey Baker of Meadville; four grandchildren Benjamin, Joshua and Fayelynn McWright, William Barrett; four sisters Pat, Nub, Bonnie, Jessie; a brother Donald; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gator was preceded in death by a daughter; a son; and three brothers.

Per Gator's wishes, services will be private.

Gator will be laid to rest in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
