He emigrated from Nederluleå, Sweden to America in 1908 with his first wife Hulda Alexandra Ek born 1882 and their son Karl Oskar Hjalmar born 1906. Hulda Alexandra died shortly after arriving to Kulm, North Dakota. He moved to Creston, B.C. Canada in 1909. He later married Alida Bjur in Kulm 25 Jan 1913. They had eight children after moving to first to Kennewick and later on to Finley also in Benton County, Washington. The family later moved to Vallejo, California.
Mr Bjur is survived by his widow Alida, his son from his first marriage with Hulda: Karl Oscar Hjalmar and from his second marriage with Alida: five sons, Lebert, Juvelus, Seselus, Inley, Lense and two daughters, Lou and Lorena.
Cause of death: Creosote poisoning
