Sue Carolyn Simmons, 92, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Magnolia Square Nursing Home. Sue was a lifetime resident of Springfield, where she graduated from Greenwood Laboratory School in 1946 and attended Southwest Missouri State College. She was married to Jerry W. Simmons for 42 years before his death in 1990.
She was employed as an underwriter for various insurance companies and later was in charge of advertising at Modern Distributing. Sue belonged to several organizations throughout the years, including Sigma Kappa Alumnae, Ozarks Genealogical Society, D.A.R. and the Springfield Association of the Blind.
Sue enjoyed reading, sewing, needlework, traveling and spending time at her cabin at Table Rock Lake.
