Charlotte was a graduate of Monmouth College and North Park University with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She worked in many different areas of nursing and always exhibited compassion and empathy in how she cared for her patients. Besides her service in nursing, Charlotte served as a Deaconess at the First Covenant Church, Rockford. She was strong in her Christian faith and walked with the Lord throughout her life. Charlotte led by the Lord's example by always being the first to forgive.
Charlotte loved her children and grandchildren with her entire being and celebrated them with endless joy. She also loved her animals, flowers, dancing, coffee, and chocolate. Charlotte was a dear friend to many and had the unique ability to make everyone feel important and special.
Survived by her children, Dr. John (Tammy) Anderson; Julie (Casey) Smiley; and Mary (Mike) Giglio; grandchildren, Brandon & Alexis Ankele, Jacquelyn & Kelly Anderson, Madison, Elle, Grace, Nick & Hudson Giglio, and Luke, Lily, Brady & Hattie Smiley; and brother, John (Jeanne) Couleur.
Charlotte was preceded in death by husband Owen E. Anderson, parents John & Linda Couleur, and sister-in-law Jill Anderson.
