Olga J. Fraser, 92, longtime Livingston resident, died at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Sunday afternoon, Dec. 16, 2007.

Graveside committal and burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Olga was born March 13, 1915, in Minot, N.D., the daughter of Charles A. and Grace (Allen) Garvey. She spent her early life and attended schools in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1933. She attended college for one year in McPherson, Kan., and then at Kinman Business College in Spokane, Wash., for two years.

She then moved to Livingston, where she worked as a bookkeeper for Livingston Laundry. She met Don Fraser and they were married Feb. 15, 1942, in Livingston. Don entered the U.S. Army Air Corps and the couple lived at various locations throughout the southern United States while he received his cadet training. When he was assigned overseas, Olga moved back to Minot, where she lived until his discharge in the mid-1940s, when they returned to Livingston. She worked for the Yardley Agency for many years, retiring in the early 1970s. Don Fraser died in December of 2005. Olga moved to Billings early this year to be near her daughter.

Together, Olga and Don enjoyed many years of traveling, visiting Europe, Alaska and Hawaii. They also enjoyed traveling with their daughter and son-in-law in the RV. She was an active member of Holbrook United Methodist Church, an avid Bridge player and enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society. For many years, she created many different and beautiful craft items which she shared with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Jerry Shumaker of Billings, formerly of Ismay; a granddaughter, Kariann (Robert) Windisch of Atlanta; two grandsons, Jay (Michelle) Shumaker of Baker and Chad (Johnelle) Shumaker of Albuquerque, N.M.; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers and a great-grandson, Payton Shumaker, in April of 2006.
