KNOX - Mrs. Kathryn Jane Mooney, 58, of Lamartine, wife of Alfred Leland Mooney, died at 10 p.m. Saturday in Oil City Hospital after a short illness.
Born July 27, 1909, in Clarion she was the daughter of Harvey and Maude Fisher Mahle.
Mrs. Mooney served with the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was attached to Atterbury General Hospital at Camp Atterbury, Ind.
She was a member of DeHart Rossman-Wenner American Legion Post No. 997 of Lamartine.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today at the William N Rupert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Rev. Earl Runge, pastor of the Salem Lutheran Church, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Edward McKee. Interment will be in the Clarion cemetery.

Rupert Funeral Home in Knox for Mrs. Kathryn Jane Mooney, 58, of Lamartine, who died Saturday evening, March 9, 1968, in the Oil City Hospital following a short illness. Born July 27, 1909, in Clarion, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Maude Fisher Mahle. Mrs. Mooney served with the Women’s Army Corps during World War II. She was attached to Atterbury General Hospital at Camp Atterbury, Ind. She was a member of the DeHart-Rossman-Wenner American Legion Post, No. 997, at Lamartine. In addition to her husband, Alfred Leland Mooney, she is survived by a daughter, Miss Wynonia Jane Armstrong of Phoenix, Ariz; a son, Robert D. Armstrong of Abington, Md.; two brothers, Thomas of Adams Basin, N. Y. and Don R. Mahle of Norfolk, Va.; and six grandchildren. Rev. Earl Runge, pastor of the Salem Lutheran Church, will officiate at the services, assisted by Rev. Edward McKee. Interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery.
